In order for Lhasa Apso training to be successful, positive rewards are required. Rewarding your dog for good behavior doesn’t only let him/her know that what they are doing is pleasing you, but it provides them with confidence. Rewarding and praise also makes your Lhasa feel happy and loved.
There are different ways you can reward your Lhasa during training. The following are the most common and practiced methods used:
Praise – Positive words, happy sounds, and plenty of petting is a great way to let your dog know that his/her behaviors please you. There are different levels of praise that you can provide your dog based on his/her performance, and how quick they respond to your command. For instance, the first few times your dog does a command correctly, you should praise him/her vigorously as if you’ve just been told the best news in the world.
